Face Coverings -we are asking all patients visiting the surgery to wear face coverings even after July 19th 2021...

The following SMS message went to all patients with mobile phones on 16th July which represents the practice policy on face coverings and PPE.

We are aware of the planned move to lifting the remaining Covid restrictions in England from the 19th of July. As we are a healthcare facility, we will continue to ask anyone attending the practice to wear a face covering and respect social distancing. In addition, the staff at our Surgeries will continue to wear PPE. The delta variant is more transmissible and patients may come to the surgery when they are contagious. It is our duty to do all we can to keep both our patients and our staff safe whilst we deliver our care. Thank you for your cooperation. Dr R Greenway

NHS IT and Amazon Web Services
We have been asked to let our patients know that a number of NHS IT companies, including EMIS and Docman -who own operate IT systems, are currently using Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store clinical records information. EMIS is large GP medical records provider which is used in around half of all UK GP patients (40 million records) , and the cloud servers it uses are approved by the department of health. As a practice, we don't have much control over national decisions like this, but we have been assured that AWS is safe and secure. AWS is used by numerous large companies such as the BBC and Netflix amongst others.
